Type WSA

Type WSA Wet Steam Accumulators are designed for applications requiring large quantities of steam in a short period of time. Type WSA is a pressurized, ASME code-stamped unit custom engineered to store energy in the form of water. This energy is used by a system expecting a large swing in demand for a short duration. Water inside the accumulator turns to steam as pressure decreases in the steam line. The accumulated steam supplies the system until demand is met then the accumulator is replenished from the steam boiler.

Accumulators are custom sized based on the operating pressure, minimum allowable pressure, peak demand, peak duration, and recharge interval for the system.
