To properly size a steam temperature regulator, it is important to determine the proper load, expressed in lbs/hr. The temperature rise needed is one of three key factors along with the flow rate (gpm) and steam pressure (psig) at the regulator that determines the correct regulator. This calculator figures the "blended temperatures" for applications with a combination of makeup and system returns. In some applications, there may be more than one return pipe and the returns may be at different temperatures. If multiple returns exist, check Include Multiple Returns to enable 3 additional returns.
